Joseph Tomsic joe tomsic
Joe is a nationally certified oncology nurse and board certified nurse executive-advanced with 16-years of nursing leadership experience.  He is a full time student in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program at the University of Washington. Joe is an active participant in the United States Air Force Reserves.Joe’s education includes a Masters degree in Health Policy and Administration from Washington State University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Seattle Pacific University. He resides in Sumner, a charming small Western Washington town known as the rhubarb pie capital of the world, with a wife and three school age children.

Joe’s healthcare interests include teaching resiliency skills and change management techniques.  He is also interested in guiding health care workers through the process of health care redesign and helping them develop a deeper understanding of “illness” from the perspective of both the patient and caregiver.  Joe’s research interests include Falls and falls injury reduction, nurse staffing, and risk analysis.

Roni Christopher roni christopher
With over 15 years of experience in healthcare management and quality improvement, Ronda “Roni” Christopher has led the operations, change initiatives and strategic planning for clinical and business related work groups. She is trained and educated as an Occupational Therapist, Licensed Nursing Home Administrator, Human Resource Professional and Quality Improvement Specialist, and she holds a Bachelor of Science and Master’s of Education from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.Roni’s expertise includes multi-site and muti-state improvement projects influencing positive outcomes through Improvement Science theories at both macro and micro-systems. Serving as the Quality Improvement Consultant for the Ohio Perinatal Quality Collaborative, Ms. Christopher has coached, mentored, trained and measured 44 hospital teams to work toward a common AIM and outcome to improve prematurity at a population level. In this work, the collaborative has seen statistically significant improvement toward the obstetrics topic and special cause improvement in the neonatal project.

Roni has also been integral in progressing the work of falls management, skin management, satisfaction and regulatory compliance on a national level for adult health care, and is recognized as a leader in these areas. Customers have often commented that she, “brings practical solutions to complex problems.”
